Can You Match Your Teeth to a Specific Color?
Posted by writeradmin
Out of curiosity if I wanted to match my teeth to a specific color, is that possible? Like what if I wanted my teeth to match the white of my eyeballs? Could they get that white?

Dear Ebony,
While there are limits to how white teeth can get with teeth whitening, you can get them very white. The bigger problem will be matching exactly to something. This is because your teeth will continue to whiten for up to two weeks after you stop using the bleaching gel. So, there is some guesswork involved.
The absolute best way to match your teeth to a specific color is to have porcelain veneers placed. You’d still want to whiten your teeth ahead of time because you wouldn’t put them on your bottom arch and you want the two arches to match in color. Plus, depending on how many veneers you get, the adjacent teeth that are not veneered need to match in color.
Porcelain veneers are usually what people go to when they’re looking for a complete smile makeover. It can change anything you want about your smile, including the shape, size, and color. A skilled cosmetic dentist can make it specific to your exact desire. The only real downside is that they are much more expensive than teeth whitening.
I would look at what your goals are. If you want a top of the line, gorgeous Hollywood type of smile that you can be specific with for your outcome, save up for the porcelain veneers. If you want just to get them as white as possible, you could save a lot of money by just doing the teeth whitening. I’d get them to the color you know you want and then stop, but they will continue to whiten a bit after that, as I mentioned earlier.
