Meet Dr. Meredith Esposito
Meredith Esposito, originally from New Jersey, graduated from The College of New Jersey in 1997 with honors and recognized as a Garden State Scholar. In 2001 she graduated from Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia. A fixture of the Dean’s List, she graduated with several awards including the Oral Surgery Honor Society, American Association of Women Dentists Leadership and Clinical Excellence, Jersey Alumni Award for Clinical Excellence, and the Stomatognathic Honor Society.
She then completed a general practice residency in Philadelphia at the Albert Einstein medial center where she enhanced her clinical skills and had additional training in endodontics, surgery and implant dentistry. When her husband was offered a position as a faculty member at the United States Naval Academy they relocated to Annapolis. During her first years there she had the opportunity to work in several different dental offices. These varying experiences led to the desire to open her own office and meld all the wonderful experiences she had treating so many different types of patients. She wanted to create a space where everyone could count on getting the best high quality care with a warm chairside manner.
In 2008 she opened Chesapeake Dental Arts.
She has continued with her education. She graduated from the Dawson Academy in Florida where she did post-graduate training in complex restorative dentistry. She regularly attends the annual scientific session of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. She trained at the American Academy of Facial Esthetics and became a certified Botox injector. She has attended the Engle Institute and Amplify Dental where she has studied implant dentistry, surgical extractions, and grafting. She also regularly attends Spear Education in Arizona and is a member of the Spear Faculty Club.
She has been voted a Favorite Dentist in Chesapeake Family Magazine and has been recognized by peers in What’s Up Annapolis as a Top Dentist every other year since 2006.
She regularly volunteers at the Stanton Center to provide free dental care to those in need.
Her Treatment Philosophy
“I have created a small intimate office where the staff and I really try to spend time and get to know our patients. We spend time listening to our patients. Our new patient experience is important because we want to address all their dental needs. And it’s more than just teeth. It’s important to look at their TMJ, bone levels, soft tissues, their occlusion, etc.
“Our goal is to help people keep their teeth for a lifetime and provide conservative lasting treatment.”
When asked to tell what motivates her, she said that she always strives to do better than the day before. And she’s passionate about staying abreast of all the advancements in care. The last few years, she has incorporated a CBCT (cone-beam computed tomography) scanner, and it has changed the way she practices. “So much more can be done digitally and it’s fun and exciting to learn with the staff.”
