Inlays and OnlaysSometimes a cavity is too big to be adequately sealed with a filling, and a crown may require us to take away more tooth structure than necessary. An excellent alternative is called an inlay or onlay. They are made by the laboratory, similar to how a crown is fabricated. You wear a temporary until the permanent restoration arrives in our office. They can be made in tooth colored porcelain or gold. We will pick the right material to meet your dental needs.
